There are many different reasons why people move abroad to teach. Personally, I studied a very technical degree and upon graduation realized it wasn't a field that I actually wanted to work in. The decision to move abroad and teach English in China was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It gave me the opportunity to travel, make new friends, learn a new language, and earn money in the process. I also realized that I thoroughly enjoy teaching in a kindergarten.
